1. Pre-reading Questions

Please discuss these questions in your group. Make sure that everyone gives an opinion. Discuss each question as much as you can before going to the next question.

a. In your opinion, what skills and techniques helped you do well in high school?


b. Besides having a good level of proficiency in English, what other skills do you consider important/necessary to succeed in college?


c. What other skills do you consider important/necessary to succeed in life, after college?


d. From your experience, how can a person learn to make a distinction between long-term useful knowledge and short-term useful knowledge that will, however, become outdated in the near future?
